barefoot and in the kitchen

is where Dr. Paige "Ewok" Patterson says women belong!

Here is the Star Telegram article.

This fall, a bachelor of arts in humanities degree will feature a 23-hour concentration in homemaking, with courses focusing on hospitality in the home -- teaching women interior design as well as how to sew and cook. Women -- men won't be allowed to take the homemaking concentration -- will also study children's spiritual, physical and emotional development.

There is also instruction on the intimate side of male-female marital relations. A staff physician will be involved in discussions of, "satisfaction and intimate life," seminary President Paige Patterson said.

"I suppose it's biblical sex-ed," Patterson said. "We discuss conception and abortion."

i've tried to leave a comment like 8 times now... everything i type comes out cynical and a little rude to those who make full-time wife and mommying their job ( and after trying it for the past 3 months, i can testify it is a hard job!!!!). and thanks for not telling everyone the ewok comment came from me...

Yes, for those who don't know...
Paige Patterson starred in the original movie "The Return of the Jedi" as an Ewok...those loveable furballs that are the result of breeding chipmunks and apes.

This guy just won't quit will he? He said himself (paraphrasing) that it's based on the gender roles described in the Bible. He should choose his words more carefully, because clearly what he believes is that the roles are prescribed.
