what happens in waco, stays in waco
What a long day. This is what most of my weekend looked like: me, in the car, listening to my ipod, staring at the back of some stupid car in traffic. But the traffic was a small price to pay for a good getaway day.
The adoption workshop was good. We didn't stay the whole day, and decided that our time would not be complete without a trip to the outlet mall. I got some new threads. A jacket and shirt from Old Navy, a shirt from AE, a wine bottle opener from Crate & Barrel, and some brown Chuck Taylor All Stars!!! I am so hip now.
I got a couple of new books too, one being "Blog" by Hugh Hewitt.
Oh yeah, most ironic part of the weekend. We are adopting from Ethiopia, hopefully. And as we sat down to chick-fil-a lunch at this workshop, we choose a table to ourselves. There were probably 100 people there. Within minutes, we had 5 new African American friends sitting at the table with us. They were only a handful of black people at this event, and they all happend to sit at our table. And we're adopting a black person! I think that is ironic.
This leads me into my top 5 radio stations to listen to while in the San Marcos area [including Austin - San Antonio]:
5. 99.5 KISS...san antonio rock
4. 89.9 KTSW...the other side of radio...Tx State student radio...where Margo made her debut as a disc jockey, throwing shout outs
3. 93.7 KLBJ...Austin rock
2. 101.5 KROX...Austin independent rock, local, alternative, my high school favorite, had the sticker on the car
1. 107.1 KGSR...Austin/Bastrop, texas music, independent, folk, country, rock...where I was introduced to Nickel Creek and The Blind Boys of Alabama!
