san marcos

This blog is coming to you from the Comfort Inn in San Marcos, TX. We drove down this afternoon to meet my parents for dinner at Clear Springs outside New Braunfels. Very good catfish.

We took a spin around campus and saw all the new buildings/dorms at our old alma mater. Tomorrow we are going to the "If You Were Mine" adoption workshop by Family Life.

We nearly stopped and got tattoos at Mystic Marks in downtown San Marcos. Margo got her first one there, and I have been thinking about getting one, and Margo wanted to maybe add to hers. I'm not sure what that would do to my job security at the church, so I'll wait and ask first. I'm thinking about getting the Virgin Mary on my forearm.

We've decided that if the workshop is no good, we're gonna take off early and hit the outlet mall. We already plan on eating Grin's for dinner, a great little eatery just off of campus. It was either that or Herbert's Taco Hut. That leads me into my all time top 5 mexican food places:
#1 - Herbert's Taco Hut (San Marcos, TX)
#2 - Mi Casa (Yoakum, TX)
#3 - El Fenix (Fort Worth, TX)
#4 - La Familia (Fort Worth, TX)
#5 - Mexican Inn (Fort Worth, TX)
