gearing up

Getting geared up for the trip starting Monday. We leave Monday around 11 am to:

Washington, D.C.

then to Rome, Italy to refuel

then to Ethiopia

then Thursday the following week we fly back to DFW [via Rome, D.C., Chicago]

Not sure what internet is going to be like there, so blogs may be few. I'm hoping to post some pictures [and maybe some video] if nothing else.

I'm also gearing up for my first doctoral session at the Robert Webber Institute for Worship Studies in FL. I've got a pre-course assignment I've got to finish before we leave, because it's due while we're in Ethiopia!

I'm kinda bummed that Dr. Webber passed away recently. I was hoping to meet him in person. But I know the school/profs will be just as meaningful. Here is another article on his life/passing.
