If we called it "little baby cows" people might not eat it.
So my opinion of Margo has changed completely tonight. Let me explain...
We're staying at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine for a little get away. We dined at this place called Ama Lur. Fancy Southwestern cuisine. This is the most expensive meal Margo and I have ever had together. Let me break the bill down for you...
- Portabella mushroom flat bread...$10
- Coke...$2.75
- Imported bottled water...$7
- Caesar Salad...$8
- Grilled Pesto chicken...$20 [me]
- Rack of veal...$32 [Margo]
- With tip, grand total came to $97.53
Now my mental re-situating of Margo came when I tasted some of her veal. As I chewed the succulent, tender, soft veal, all I could see were these baby cows, chained to stakes, being slaughtered at a young age for someone to feast on. It is so wrong. Baby cows are practically like puppies. They should be skipping around in the fields, not confined to a stake and murdered. Now Margo, proceeded to chow down on that veal like it was the only thing that she had eaten all week. One of her comments was, "It's their own fault, baby cows shouldn't taste so delicious."
I highly respect Margo, but tonight, something changed in my mind. Just knowing that she enjoyed a baby animal that much seems so wrong and twisted. I'm just sensitive I guess. And half-joking. Check her blog, I think she is going to post pics of the food.

ok, you know what...that veal was already in the kitchen and someone was going to eat it. it's not like i ordered it and they went out back and shot a baby cow in the head just for me...so, i can't help that veal is delicious. you can blame baby cows or even God for making them so good, but don't judge me!!!
