blog
I'm thinking about scheduling a blog-break. Probably next week sometime. Mainly next weekend, as I'll be down in Port Lavaca/Seadrift performing the ceremony for my cousin's wedding. I'm greatly looking forward to getting away from church on a Sunday [rarely happens] and seeing extended family [rarely happens]. It will be mucho bueno.
So I'm thinking about picking up my educational marathon once again in 2007. Just so you know, I graduated high school in 1998 [yes, I'm young]. Went straight to college [SWT in San Marcos, TX] 1998-2002. Then went straight to SWBTS in Ft. Worth for Masters degree [2003-2006]. So I've been going to school for a long time.
So I'm getting the itch to get it going again. Here is where I want to go: Institute for Worship Studies in Florida. It looks great. Dr. Robert Webber is the founder, the living worship guru of our day. One of my seminary profs got his doctorate there. I'd be working on a D.W.S. [Doctor of Worship Studies]. I think I'll probably start in June 07. Would go for week long seminar classes in Florida, then do correspondence work. You've got to check out the bibliography on their website. They've got this massive list of books to suggest/read. I've probably read like 1% of them. Better get crack-a-lackin. So I'm going to quit typing and go read.
