school daze

Ok, so I'm going to W-town this weekend to hopefully finish up all the recording that needs to be done for our church CD. I'm also going to reconnect with my old college friend Taylor Mobley. Taylor is a brand new seminary student at Truett. I thought of going there when I was searching for a seminary, but the degree program was too long. All they offered at the time that was applicable to my calling was a double masters in Theology and Music. Yuck. I would still be finishing that up if I had done it. I picked Southwestern because of the 48 hour Master of Arts in Worship program. Much shorter, and more relevant.

Taylor and I used to live in an apartment together in college [SWT]. It was a 2 bed/2 bath school owned dump called Comanche Hills. With 2 guys in each room, rent split 4 ways equaled about $115/month!

Here is the dump I refered to. Our apt. was the one on the 1st floor toward the back underneath the stairs. Other residents were Paul and Jeff Mace. I recall the many nights Taylor and I would be trying to go to sleep while hearing our upstairs neighbors doing a combination of jumping jacks and having sex. [that's what it sounded like.] There was also a great flood that happend at least a couple of times. But that is a story for another day.

Don't speak ill of comanche hills!!! You can't find quality like that anymore...The gold bamboo wallpaper, the crickets dropping on your head in the bathroom from the ac vents, the flooding...At least when it flooded a couple of times they put y'all up in the hampton inn for the night. That makes up for the water damage to your stuff. And the possible health effects of rampant mold!
