Mission Tour blog 5

This was the last jam out at FBC Canyon Lake on Thursday night. I decided to join them for the last song.

Interesting observation: Tuesday night we played for the Bexar County Juvenile Detention Center. Probably about 100-120 teens who were on lock down, walked in with their hands behind their back and had to ask for permission to leave their seats. Wednesday night we played for a typical Southern Baptist church youth group of about 20-30 at a BBQ establishment. Obviously they weren't nearly as constrained and confined as the detention teens. BUT, we got a bigger/better response from the detention center teens [more clapping, participation, interaction, etc.]. So what does that say about church teens? Have they been spoiled to the point of not appreciating the things/freedoms they have? Or does God choose to pour out more of His Spirit in the darker places?
